Ilustrado tells the story of Jose
Rizal (portrayed by Alden Richards) – from his childhood in the Philippines, to
his life in Europe and his many loves. The series goes
beyond discussing the propaganda movement in Europe and tells the interesting,
humanizing and less known vignettes about the Ilustrado experience. Created and
produced by the same team behind GMA News and Public Affairs’
critically-acclaimed series Katipunan, Ilustrado made history as the first
bayani series on Philippine primetime.
